TIBCO Software QA Engineer Job Responsibilities

#1. Understand the functionality being developed & create test specifications and use cases that will exercise the feature at a component level and product level.

#2. Execute test specifications and automated scripts to meet project timescales, identification of product defects, timely recording of errors, and re-testing of the product when mistakes have been corrected.

#3. Work closely with the product developers to understand the product requirements and features.

#4. To set up test lab environments on various OS platforms & perform test execution, regression testing.

#5. To debug & trace issues and devise possible solutions

#6. Bug tracking and verification for releases

#7. Ability to meet aggressive product delivery schedules.

Qualifications:

#1. Applicants must have 0-5 years of experience in QA

#2. Candidates can understand Test Design Strategies, Software testing methodology, process, and quality control.

#3. Identification of the test requirements, test plan preparation, test case preparation and execution.

#4. Must have experience in developing, creating, prioritize, and organize test cases.

#5. Identify, record and document thoroughly, & track bugs-Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved

#6. Experience in at least one of the test automation t6oiols like Selenium, Soap UI, etc

#7. Work experiences of at least one database technology like Oracle or MS SQL

#8. Familiar with defect tracking systems and test management tools

#9. Excellent Problem-Solving skills & communication skills.

#10. Simple knowledge of at least one UNIX (Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, and Linux) platform.

#11. Degree in Computer Science area or equivalent
