The Purpose of Role

The incumbent is mainly responsible for day to day. And also regular compliances covering Direct Tax and Indirect Tax matters in close supervision and guidance of Sr Manager Tax. This includes preparation & filling of relevant returns, payments of taxes, liaison with stat auditors and tax auditors, accounting team etc.

  • Filling of all related returns.
  • Reconciling relevant computations with books of accounts.
  • Maintaining TDS tracker to keep control of TDS compliances in consultation with Sr Manager.
  • Should have through knowledge of TDS related computations, laws and compliances.
  • Getting sign off from Sr Manager on working.
  • Receipt of Form 16/TDS certificate.
  • Ensuring correct payments for TDS.
  • Tracking all TDS defaults and filling revised statements wherever required.
  • Issuing of Form 16s/TDS certificate.

Indirect Tax & Compliances

  • All this has to be in consultation with Sr. Manager Tax.
  • Should have working knowledge of GST.
  • Preparing and filling of all relevant GST returns.
  • Monthly GST computation for Output, Input and final liability.
  • Preparation of GST compliant Input registers and other documents.
  • Monthly GST detailed computation for regular and ISD input and its distribution.
  • Preparation of GST mandated invoices.
  • Reconciliation of monthly computation and balances with books.

Fund Management: He is expected to ensure the treasury is notified about all upcoming tax payments about SSFL, Group Entities well in time.

Corporate Affairs: He will also be responsible for various corporate matters related to taxation as outlined by the management, CFO, Sr Manager.

Audit & Compliance: He is expected to engage with auditors (internal, external), ensure that all accounts are duly audited without any observations. Any non-compliances are addressed and drive the highest level of compliances and ensure that there are no deviations from set standards.
