Tech Mahindra is a subsidiary of the Mahindra group. It is a multinational company based in India that provides IT services and business process outsourcing. It was founded in 1986 by Anand Mahindra.
The most recent merger of Tech Mahindra with Mahindra Satyam in 2013 is one of the most significant developments in the graph of the company.

Careers at Tech Mahindra
Tech Mahindra hires candidates with different levels of experiences. The hiring process for freshers is same, be it through campus placement or off campus hiring. The only difference is in registration.
The candidates who are appearing for the campus placements need not register at their portal. However, freshers and experienced candidates applying independently for jobs at Tech M need to register at their portal.
Tech Mahindra sometimes uses the help of third party vendors to hire for them. But the process, be it direct or through a third party, does not require you to pay any money to get hired.
Any such attempts by people who try to take money or favors in return for jobs are conmen. Please report at the nearest police station in case of such incidences. Do not entertain such malicious attempts.

Experienced candidates and freshers trying for off campus placements must register at Tech M’s portal. You can register by submitting basic details like your name, current country of residence, mail ID.

Registering at the portal will give you a unique candidate ID. Please understand that you can create only one account with an email ID.
Tech Mahindra’s selection process for the experienced
Apply: Experienced candidates need to register at their portal and start searching for open job opportunities on their portal. When they find a relevant opportunity, they must apply through their account. There is an option to save the job for later.
You will need your resume to apply. Details like your education background, experience and domain of expertise need to be declared. Submit applications to jobs for which you qualify and wait for a response.
Interviews: The time duration of the process purely depends on the degree of immediacy for the job opening you applied for. If things go well, you’ll get a call back and the first round of interviews will be scheduled.
You will face several rounds of interviews. The first one will be a basic screening interview to understand your profile and cross check information. The next rounds will be technical and HR. If you cleared all stages, the final stage of interviewing will include an HR interview where salary negotiations will occur.
Documentation: The final step before they extend an official offer letter will be documentation. You need to submit your identity information, PAN cards, payslips etc.,

Selection process for Freshers at Tech Mahindra:
As mentioned in the previous sections of the article, freshers will go through the same steps whether they are attending a campus placement or an off campus hiring event. Off campus candidates need to register at their portal and apply for jobs available.
Those who applied will only be called to attend for the next rounds. In campus interviews, worthy candidates will be considered for various available roles. But candidates applying for off campus recruitment will be considered only for the job positions they have applied for.
Eligibility criteria: Min. 60% in Engineering, Min. 70% in XI and XII
Test rounds at Tech M for freshers:
- Written test
- Essay test
- Technical interview
- HR interview
1. Written Test: You’ll attempt 75 questions in 50 minutes. The difficulty of questions will be easy to moderate. Needless to say, it is a speed test too. There will be seven sections that will cover aptitude, reasoning, verbal ability etc., This is an elimination round. The section cut offs are usually high.
2. Essay Round: This round is newly introduced. A picture will be displayed and the candidate must write a maximum of 1200 words in 15 minutes. Punctuation, grammar and sticking to the context will be examined. Creativity will have brownie points. This test is to evaluate the candidate’s ability to make sense of situations and organizing their thoughts into neatly structured, grammatically correct sentences.
3. Technical interview: The objective of this round is to test your basics. C, C++, JAVA, Data structures are the minimum requirements to get through this. Apart from this, at least two subjects from your branch will be tested.
You can choose these subjects yourself. You will be asked to talk about your engineering project. So, prepare in advance for this round. Complicated questions will not be asked. Stick to basics. You will be trained in the domain of their requirement once you join at Tech M.

4. HR interview: This is the last round of your assessments. Clearing this will cement your job offer from Tech M. HR questions will be standard. Tell me about yourself, hobbies, extra curriculars, additional skills and other basic details about you will be asked. This is the easiest round to fare through.
