Flipkart to set up India’s most prominent logistics park near Bengaluru. It is planning to invest in setting up a 4.5 million sqft state of the art logistics park in Karnataka. The setting up of this park Flipkart said will create 20,000 jobs. Despite being a fastest growing major economy in the world, India’s logistics market is largely underserved. In the recent past, the sector has been proliferating in India. India ranked 19th in World Bank Logistics in 2014. Moreover, Flipkart, India’s homegrown e-commerce leader, steps in to address this need answering to the Government of India’s Logistics Efficiency Enhancement Programme (LEEP) with a 100 acre Flipkart Logistics Park near Bangalore.
